Hello! My name is Claire Faraday, and I am a graphic designer based in Long Island, New York, and Newport, Rhode Island. I have a passion for creating engaging designs that combine creativity and functionality. I graduated in 2025 from Salve Regina University with a B.A. in Studio Art, with concentrations in Graphic Design and Photography, and a Marketing Minor. With a specialized focus on package and surface pattern design, my work focuses on the food and beverage, beauty, fashion, houseware, and stationery industries. My recent projects were featured in the 2025 Senior Honors Thesis and Senior Juried Exhibition, where I received the C. Edward Flood Memorial Award in Studio Art. I was also recognized in the Fall 2024 Best of Salve Student Show, earning awards for both Best in Motion Graphics and Best in Graphic Design. Currently, I am a graphic design intern at Lindebroeke Press, LLC, where I contribute to various stationery design projects.

Artist Statement:

As a graphic designer, I delve into the transformative power of design, discovering how it can reshape our perception of familiar elements and communicate them innovatively. Reimagination through design is a prevalent theme throughout my work. Reimagination is interpreting an established concept, idea, or image to create a new perspective. I transform commonplace items into works of art through nostalgia and repetition of color, typography, and imagery. A key objective is to effectively communicate and remind viewers of their past positive experiences, encouraging them to make a purchase. My past design projects involve reconceptualization, where work becomes more than a form of communication for a brand, but a functional, repurposeable, and meaningful design for consumers to enjoy. Reimagination is seen through projects involving packaging, posters, surface pattern, brand identity, motion graphics, and photography—specifically, design for the food and beverage, beauty, and stationery industries.
