Artist Statement:

As a graphic designer, I explore the transformative power of design, discovering how it can reshape our perception of familiar elements and convey them in innovative ways. Reimagination through design is a prevalent theme throughout my work. Reimagination is interpreting an established concept, idea, or image to create a new perspective. I transform commonplace items into works of art through nostalgia and repetition of color, typography, and imagery. A key objective is to effectively communicate and remind viewers of their past positive experiences, encouraging them to make a purchase. My past design projects involve reconceptualization, where work becomes more than a form of communication for a brand, but a functional, repurposeable, and meaningful design for consumers to enjoy. Reimagination is showcased through projects involving packaging, posters, surface patterns, brand identity, motion graphics, and photography, specifically for consumer goods.
